Mechanical Project Engineer

Our client, a top-tier MEP Contractor, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to oversee the successful delivery of a Life Sciences project. As part of this well-established company, you will manage the project from pre-construction through to completion.

This role offers long-term work in the Cambridge area, along with excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and executing the mechanical elements of this high-profile development.

Roles & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical works from pre-construction to project handover
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
  • Maintain cost control and work closely with the QS team for financial reporting
  • Oversee technical submittals, RFIs, and resolve any design issues
  • Delegate tasks effectively across the project team (Engineers, Site Managers, Supervisors, etc.)
  • Promote and enforce health & safety standards, including investigating and reporting any site incidents
