We operate the UK’s largest refinery for edible oils and fats at our King George Dock site, and supply ingredients and finished products to businesses in the food manufacturing, baking, foodservice, and retail sectors. About the role
Based in Hull, England, at AAK's UK facility, the Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in overseeing all aspects of project engineering across mechanical disciplines. Responsibilities include design, development, value engineering, technical reviews, procurement, field support, quality control, testing, commissioning, and startup for high-value production facilities. This role reports directly to the Project Manager. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in professional mechanical engineering, with a minimum of five years’ experience managing projects with CAPEX exceeding £10 million. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification is desirable, though not essential. The role requires flexibility and a willingness to travel internationally to any of AAK's production sites, as well as to work with consultants, suppliers, or contractors.
