About The Role

The successful candidates will possess a blend of technical and soft skills necessary for success. They should have technical knowledge of mechanical engineering and project management, along with strong communication skills to manage projects effectively. Candidates must be able to interact with project and client teams and take the lead on all technical queries and issues that may arise during the project.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage and liaise with key project stakeholders (client design team, main contractor, suppliers, subcontractors, etc.) to support engineering requirements.
  2. Familiarize with design/IFC specifications and drawings to fully understand the scope of work.
  3. Contribute to the coordination process to transform design information into full installation drawings by BIM personnel, ensuring compliance with specifications and schedule priorities.
  4. Review the project schedule and ensure engineering activities support the construction build schedule (e.g., procurement).
  5. Create and issue technical submittals, tracking approvals accordingly.
  6. Engage vendors for technical support and value engineering solutions.
  7. Manage material procurement using the Engineering Materials Report (EMR), producing material take-offs, and identifying lead times and field needs.
  8. Oversee equipment procurement and track deliveries to site.
  9. Ensure installation works conform to project specifications and QA plans, including pre-agreed benchmarking.
  10. Conduct site audits to verify adherence to proper processes and procedures.
  11. Prepare and agree on project completion criteria and close-out documents.
  12. Develop sub-contract and supplier tender packages in collaboration with the project QS.
  13. Manage work packs from development through implementation and handover.
  14. Prioritize BIM tasks such as isometric generation and release.
  15. Liaise with clients and prepare reports for presentation to directors and relevant parties.
  16. Schedule meetings and training sessions as needed.
  17. Coordinate with client project management teams and contractors to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  18. Provide technical support to the construction team during the building phase of projects.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Minimum of 3 years' experience with a recognized mechanical contractor in process mechanical or pipework.
  2. Excellent organizational and project planning skills.
  3. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  4. Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  5. Proficiency in Navisworks and engineering-related database systems.
  6. Experience with project planning software like Primavera and CAD/BIM processes.
