Hays is representing an established Mechanical & Electrical Building Services and Maintenance company providing services in a variety of sectors. They have an immediate requirement and are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Services Project Engineer to work in their Engineering Services Department.

Your new role

They are seeking an accountable Project Engineer responsible for all Mechanical/Electrical engineering and technical disciplines involved in their projects. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource, and manage all technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. This includes controlling cost budgets, managing labor resources, and improving margins set by the Directors. Projects typically include Hotel, Leisure, Retail, and Education & Healthcare sectors, with HVAC & Electrical installations valuing between £100,000 and £2 million.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer.
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualization software such as AutoCAD.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple discipline projects.
  • Strong project management and supervision skills.
  • Decision-making ability and leadership qualities.
  • Current engineering license.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
