We have a career opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer who will contribute as a key member of our Building Services Team. This is a hybrid role, primarily based in Dublin or Cork, but offices also available in Galway, Kilkenny, and Sligo.
Our Building Services Team includes enthusiastic and experienced engineers from Graduate to Director level working closely with clients, architects, and engineers to deliver exciting projects across a broad range of market sectors. Examples of current projects include numerous acute and community healthcare buildings for the HSE, multi-site school buildings, third-level university projects, laboratories, pharmaceutical, and port infrastructure. We are committed to professional development and actively assist our employees to gain Chartered Engineer status. You will be working within a team that is driven to achieve sustainability goals and recognises the critical role that Building Services Engineers have in shaping our low-carbon future by reducing energy demand and harnessing renewable energy sources.
About the role:
You will be based in either our Cork or Dublin office and will work under the supervision of a senior engineer on all aspects of project delivery from concept to hand-over. You will contribute to feasibility studies, option appraisals, scheme and detail design using calculation spreadsheets and IES thermal modelling software, AutoCAD, and Revit. The role also involves visiting sites during the construction stage to monitor progress and quality of the installation works. You will work closely with other team members both in RPS and the wider design team such as architects and structural engineers and you will be expected to attend client meetings and demonstrate RPS values and behaviours.
