Job description

Role Overview

This is a multidisciplinary position supporting facilities management at London client sites. The role focuses on the day-to-day maintenance and operation of plant equipment within a multi-skilled engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reading blueprints and examining surfaces to determine work requirements
  2. Ensuring site operation complies with local legislation
  3. Adhering to the Maintenance Management system
  4. Conducting small installation works and repairs
  5. Performing planned maintenance activities
  6. Maintaining plant and utilities
  7. Providing technical support for projects
  8. Managing work orders and change control notifications
  9. Implementing safety procedures (Permits to Work, Lock Out/Tag Out)
  10. Managing Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS)
  11. Updating documentation and drawings
  12. Collaborating in cross-training
  13. Maintaining a clean and safe workspace
  14. Communicating and reporting to the line manager
  15. Managing sub-contractors when required

Working Conditions:

  • 5-day work week with shift-based structure (7am-4pm / 3pm-10pm)
  • Overtime opportunities - weekends, late shifts, or bank holidays
  • On-call duties and emergency call-outs may be required
  • Possibility of working at other sites within the contract

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Level 3 mechanical or Plumbing/HVAC qualification required
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a multinational environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a team
  • Knowledge of industry trends and interest in facilities management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
  • Understanding of Health & Safety Regulations for corporate sites
