Job Title: Mechanical Platform Systems Engineer
Location: Barrow-in-Furness. This position will require full-time on-site presence
Salary: Competitive

What you’ll be doing:

1. Developing the package of design evidence required to justify a safe, effective design and generate customer confidence in the design solution
2. Specifying and assisting in the build of prototypes, products and systems suitable for testing
3. Providing timely corrective actions on all assigned defects and issues
4. Ensuring that commitments are agreed, reviewed, and met
5. Mentoring junior engineers regarding technical matters
6. Making presentations effectively to technical and management audiences and within this, be able to identify and keep abreast of novel technical concepts and markets
7. Author/co-author technical reports, papers, articles, patents, and presentations as required

Your skills and experiences:

1. Educated to Degree level in Engineering, Mechanical or Science Subjects
2. Be able to design documentation with the ability to present these to customers and wider groups
3. Have an Engineering Lifecycle background
4. Be proficient in CAD, MS Office and be comfortable with other IT applications

The T&C Engineering Support team:
Being a part of the team, you will have a great opportunity to be involved in the planning and reactive support to ensure that the engineering aspects of testing and commissioning activities are undertaken in a safe and appropriate way whilst ensuring design intent is maintained.
