Job summary

Amentum is recruiting a Planner - Mechanical for the HPC project in the UK. The role reports to the Area Lead Planner for MEH planning through the project lifecycle, focusing on productivity, output quality, and implementing planning strategy with a digitally enabled environment.

The candidate will manage a comprehensive planning framework, maintain the IWS, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information for decision making.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a degree or equivalent in Engineering.
• Experience in planning for mechanical, electrical & HVAC in a complex, highly regulated industry.
• Experience with Integrated Planning frameworks and methodologies.
• Site/installation experience valuable, overseeing Level 4 schedules.
• Ability to deliver concise project insights to drive evidence-based decisions.
• Familiarity with HPC PMO Digital Planning Platforms.

Responsibilities

• Drive an Integrated Planning framework with top-down/bottom-up reporting across levels 1–5.
• Develop and maintain the IWS with logic-linked WBS.
• Support Area management in risk/opportunity assessment.
• Enable robust review and challenge of schedule reporting.
• Produce timely updates of area Planning and Schedule reporting to stakeholders.
• Drive strategies for Baseline Schedule delivery.
• Share operational lessons to improve Planning approaches.
• Collaborate across boundaries to achieve outcomes aligned with HPC values.
