Job summary

Winthrop Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Package Manager for a site-based role in the UK to lead delivery of mechanical building services on major data centre projects.

You'll manage client and stakeholder communications, prepare method statements and risk assessments, sequence installations, and oversee four-week look-ahead programmes, ensuring quality and safety standards are met across the package. A degree in mechanical/building services and 5 years' experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or Building services engineering.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within construction contracting.
• Excellent organisation, communication, and time management skills.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain effective communication with the client and wider project stakeholders.
• Prepare and implement method statements and risk assessments for mechanical construction activities.
• Coordinate sequencing of mechanical installations, including pipework, to meet milestones.
• Assist in documentation and costing of scope changes and monthly valuations.
• Compile and file O&M and BCAR documentation for the package.
• Manage and monitor the four-week look-ahead programme with the project team.
• Ensure as-built information reflects on-site construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain effective communication with the client and wider project stakeholders

• Coordinate closely with the project team to sequence mechanical installations, including pipework, to meet programme milestones and scheduled dates

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or Building services engineering or similar,Previous experience (5 years minimum) in a similar role within a construction contracting environment is essential
• Previous experience managing a process plant install or water treatment facility is preferred
• Excellent organisation, communication, and time management skills
• Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project
