Equans Mechanical Manager Role - Stoke
Equans is seeking a Mechanical Manager to join our team in Stoke on a permanent, full-time basis (37.5 hours/week). We offer a competitive salary, a company vehicle or allowance, bonus, and benefits.
Responsibilities
- Manage the performance of engineers and subcontractors, ensuring standards within the Stoke Schools PFI contract.
- Provide advice and support to clients and engineering teams for compliant and efficient service delivery.
- Organize daily engineering activities to meet contractual obligations.
- Assist with emergency and contingency planning.
- Maintain records for PPM schedules and statutory compliance.
- Oversee maintenance, reactive, and project activities, ensuring safety compliance.
- Manage staffing, including full-time, part-time, subcontractors, and specialists.
- Build and maintain effective communication with clients to foster relationships.
- Proactively manage preventative maintenance and additional works.
- Attend emergency call-outs and prepare incident reports.
- Monitor workforce efficiency and report on team performance.
- Ensure environmental regulations are followed.
- Conduct toolbox talks, site visits, safety audits, and checks.
- Prioritize workloads and manage deadlines effectively.
- Maintain knowledge of Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality Management Systems.
- Understand CAFM (Maximo) systems.
- Manage out-of-hours coverage as per roster, with flexible hours as needed.
- Work under pressure and resolve problems to satisfactory conclusions.

Candidate Requirements
- Time-served (C&G) Mechanical qualifications
- Knowledge of building fabric and safety in occupied premises
- IOSH certification
- Ability to pass a DBS Enhanced check
