EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Join our Waste Water Recycling team as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician covering the South region (Evesham, Gloucester, Forest of Dean & Worcester).

This role involves working on a variety of equipment, developing new skills, and ensuring treatment processes operate optimally to protect our rivers.

  • Proactively and reactively maintain mechanical assets onsite, including pumps, gearboxes, high-pressure systems, gas systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, valves, motors, generators, drive belts, conveyors, and scrapers.
  • Perform fabrication, lubrication, and welding activities.
  • Continuously improve the mechanical asset base.
  • Complete lifting operations safely according to LOLER regulations.
  • Fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Interpret and update mechanical drawings.
  • Support the design and build of new processes.
  • Manage site mechanical performance.
  • Monitor treatment processes using SCADA systems and respond to alarms.
  • Review asset health and availability proactively.
  • Ensure all relevant mechanical and maintenance training is up to date.

You will be based at one of our main sewage treatment works, provided with a vehicle for business use, laptop, safety clothing, and tools. The core working hours are Monday to Friday, with participation in a standby rota. The role supports your development from ‘Foundation’ to ‘Skilled’ and potentially to ‘Expert’ status.
