Job description

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role centres on maintaining CNC machinery, conventional machinery, production equipment and associated plant.

will involve reactive breakdown maintenance, planned maintenance and general mechanical and facilities support across a varied manufacturing environment.

Your technical focus

• Provide first-line mechanical maintenance and breakdown support
• Maintain pumps, bearings, gearboxes, motors, conveyors and other mechanical equipment
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with Health & Safety requirements
• Carry out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on manufacturing machinery and equipment
• Carry out machinery repairs, component replacement and basic modifications

Skills & experience

• Identify complex machinery faults and liaise with equipment manufacturers and specialist contractors where additional technical support is required, while the ability to recognise when specialist manufacturer support is required
• Be a suitably qualified Mechanical Maintenance Technician / Engineer with practical maintenance
• You’ll need experience maintaining manufacturing or industrial machinery
• Gained within manufacturing, engineering or production
