Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to perform planned and reactive maintenance across lift systems, doors and related equipment in Tesco stores. You will diagnose faults, carry out repairs and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while delivering quality service to customers and colleagues.

The role offers ongoing training and career progression within a respected UK retail brand. The Hiring Manager for this role is Keith Kavanaugh.

Qualifications

• ONC or equivalent required.
• Recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2/3 preferred.
• Full driving license required.
• Health & Safety awareness essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repairs on passenger and goods lifts, scissor lifts, travelators, escalators and related systems.
• Inspect, test and certify equipment to ensure safe operation and regulatory compliance.
• Document all maintenance activity using digital reporting tools.
• Collaborate with site operations to minimise disruption and maintain safety.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance procedures.
