Job description

Smart Manufacturing Solutions are currently recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Technician on behalf of one of our clients based in Stockton On Tees. You will be working as part of a small maintenance team responsible for the day to day maintenance of the plant and machinery onsite including preventative maintenance, attending breakdowns and service and repair work.


Responsibilities
  1. Work alongside external contractors during the completion of routine servicing and repairs.
  2. Fault diagnosis and instigate repairs.
  3. Perform preventive maintenance duties on a range of equipment including overhead cranes, CNC machines and shot blasts.
  4. Work alongside section team leaders to identify concerns and rectify machine problems.
  5. Assist with the safe decommissioning of old plant/equipment and the safe installation/commissioning of new.
  6. Maintain working areas in accordance with 5S.
  7. Use appropriate safety equipment and techniques to adhere to company procedures.
  8. Mentor Department trainees/apprentices.
Requirements
  1. Apprenticeship or Mechanically qualified - City and Guilds or equivalent level 3.
  2. HNC (Preferred but not essential).
  3. MEWP Licence (Preferred but will be provided).
  4. Proactive attitude.
  5. Previous experience working with Hydraulic systems.
  6. Previous experience working with Pneumatic Systems.
  7. Previous experience working with Overhead Cranes.
Working Hours

Dayshift - Monday to Thursday 06:00 to 14:15, Friday 06:00 to 12:45.
Backshift - Monday to Thursday 14:15 to 22:30, Friday 12:45 to 19:30.
