Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for a new position with a growing company? Are you able to obtain Security Clearance? If so, this position is for you!

This Mechanical Fitter position is working for a company in Portsmouth that focuses on asset and facilities management across the defence and maritime sectors.

The role offers a Monday to Friday working week. This Mechanical Fitter position is paying up to £37,000 depending on experience. A British Passport is required, and you will need to be able to obtain security clearance.

This Mechanical Fitter role is focused on the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across a variety of mechanical systems including heating systems, pumps, saws, hoists, winches, and steam systems. Responsibilities include installation, fault finding, repair, testing, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

It is important within this role to ensure all tools and equipment are used suitably, as well as up to date with inspections.

You will need:

1. Previous experience within a Mechanical Fitter position
2. Machine Maintenance
3. Ideally, to have completed an apprenticeship or NVQ in a relevant field
4. To be competent using a variety of hand tools efficiently and safely
5. Experience with mechanical fault finding and rectification
6. To hold a British Passport and be able to obtain Security Clearance
