You will ensure the reliable operation of their modern CO2 Dry Ice manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate has a mechanical apprenticeship, experience in plant maintenance, and strong problem-solving skills. This role offers competitive pay and excellent benefits, with a shift pattern of 4 on 4 off.

Qualifications

  • Experience in mechanical plant maintenance of automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Good attitude towards safety.
  • Valid UK driving licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine inspections and repairs on mechanical equipment.
  • Plan and report on work carried out.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Collaborate with team members for efficiency improvements.
  • Follow Health, Safety & Quality policies.

MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Location: Hounslow

Salary: £Competitive + excellent benefits

Shifts: 4 on 4 off (10 hour days with some flexibility on start & finish times)

We are seeking a suitably qualified Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our small maintenance team at our high-volume, modern CO2 Dry Ice manufacturing and packaging facility. Experience in the industrial gas or chemical process industry is preferred. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Technician who is a team player and can work independently when necessary.

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician will be a vital part of our maintenance team, ensuring the reliable operation of our manufacturing facility. Your expertise in mechanical systems will contribute to our success.

Key responsibilities:
  • Carry out routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical equipment, including conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic manufacturing equipment.
  • Plan, record, and report on work carried out.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve manufacturing performance and efficiency.
  • Work in accordance with Health, Safety & Quality policies, safety principles, and legislation.
  • Assist in the continuous improvement of plant maintenance.
Job requirements:
  • Recognised mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Engineering Maintenance – Mechanical.
  • Experience in mechanical plant maintenance of automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and proficiency in repairing mechanical systems.
  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards safety.
  • Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid UK driving licence is desirable.
