This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join a prestigious company based in London. Duties:

  • Undertaking multi-disciplinary PPM and reactive maintenance tasks in accordance with contract specifications.
  • Leading the team to deliver excellent service, monitoring performance, taking corrective action where necessary across the client’s premises, and escalating issues to the Contracts Manager.
  • Managing service provision through clearly defined contract metrics (KPIs/SLA) in line with agreed contractual responsibilities.
  • Providing first-line management and leadership to the contract-dedicated team, setting team objectives and conducting individual performance reviews.
  • Carrying out risk assessments and safety audits in line with relevant safety legislation and the company’s health and safety systems and procedures.
  • Developing relationships with customers to identify additional work opportunities, escalating to the Contracts Manager as appropriate.
  • Supervising subcontractor works, ensuring compliance with procurement processes.
  • Monitoring the completion of PPM and reactive work through CAFM, analysing Work in Progress (WIP) reports, and liaising with the Service Centre.
  • Delivering contract financial planning, including gross profit, WIP, and debt collection.
  • Developing the base contract and overseeing additional services or project work.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory controls across all technical areas, conducting internal audits, and participating in external audits to promote continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring the completion of toolbox talks with all engineers in the team, as prescribed by the SHEQ department.
  • Preparing quotations for subcontractor works and any small projects required on site.

Requirements:

  • An industry relevant City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or above
  • SSSTS
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a full-time supervisor
  • Experience working on residential or commercial projects
  • Ability to influence and drive positive attitudes and behaviours with regards to site Health and Safety
  • IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
  • Essential knowledge of relevant Health and Safety requirements and Mechanical Safe Systems of Work
