Job summary

Job description

Mechanical Maintenance Fitter - Radcliffe.
Permanent opportunity.

Main Responsibility:
To ensure smooth and reliable operation of equipment and machinery by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing repairs, along with fast and effective response to equipment break downs.

Main Duties:

  • Carrying out all tasks in a safe and efficient manner
  • Complete ad hoc repairs to various mechanical equipment
  • Maintenance of pneumatics motor gearboxes and pumps
  • Prioritising workload throughout shift
  • Good and effective communication with all departments across site
  • Work collaboratively with the operations team to drive year on year OEE improvement
  • Suggest and implement improvements
  • Attend tier meetings as appropriate

Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience:

Essential/Required:
Minimum of 5 years maintenance engineering experience.
Experience working with pumps, gearboxes, chairs and drives.
Pneumatic knowledge.
Organisational skills.
Time management skills.
Computer literate.
Effective teamwork.

Desirable:
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of hydraulic systems
Knowledge of electrical systems
Previous experience of working at height/within confined spaces
Previous experience of forklift operations
Previous experience of cherry picker operations.

Hours of work:
Flexibility to work 12 hour days & nights including weekends.

9 DAYS OFF EVERY 4 WEEKS.

Basic Salary:
GBP36,500 plus overtime.
9 DAYS OFF EVERY 4 WEEKS.
Excellent pension scheme. Employer matches up to 8%.
