Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – South West London – £40,000

Location: Nine Elms

Salary: £40,000 + OT

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8AM – 5PM

PRS is currently looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer based at a premium residential complex in South West London. The successful candidate will be mechanically qualified (C&G / NVQ) with proven experience in building maintenance.

The role involves carrying out planned and reactive maintenance alongside the site maintenance team. Candidates should have a strong understanding of facilities maintenance and a proven track record in building maintenance. The company offers a competitive salary of £40,000 plus ample overtime.

Duties include:

  • Performing hands-on maintenance of mechanical equipment in plant rooms and common areas of residential/mixed-use developments.
  • Maintaining systems such as AHUs, FCUs, HVAC, pumps, motors, and valves.
  • Conducting inspections, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical systems.
  • Responding promptly to mechanical issues and emergencies during working hours.
  • Planning and executing mechanical projects and upgrades with the team.
  • Participating in building shutdowns with minimal disruption.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
  • Documenting all maintenance activities accurately.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in similar roles within residential or high-end hotel environments.
  • City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, plumbing, heating, or relevant mechanical qualification.
  • Excellent IT skills and proficiency with mobile devices for reporting.
  • Outstanding customer service and client-facing skills.
