Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer for our Eye, Suffolk site. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery, diagnose faults, and work within a shift team to keep lines running efficiently.

The role suits engineers with strong mechanical skills and industrial experience, with food industry exposure viewed as a plus. A secure, long-term position with progression is offered.

Qualifications

• Mechanical maintenance experience is required across industrial environments.
• Industrial or manufacturing background is essential to operate in a fast-paced site.
• Strong fault-finding skills with the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
• Food industry experience is beneficial but not essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Fault finding and repairing mechanical issues to minimise downtime.
• Working on production and packing machinery to ensure reliability.
• Supporting site reliability and reducing downtime through proactive checks.
• Working as part of a shift engineering team to cover operations.
