Job summary

Wienerberger UK & Ireland is hiring a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (Maintenance Fitter) at the Broomfleet site near Gilberdyke, nr. Brough. You will join the in‑house maintenance team responsible for keeping plant equipment running smoothly through troubleshooting and planned preventive maintenance.

The role covers a range of maintenance activities on specialist machinery, with a hands‑on approach and a focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement in production processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline.
• Strong commitment to health and safety best practice.
• Experience in manufacturing/factory environments is desirable.
• Ability to work in a busy, hands-on maintenance role.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and fault diagnosis on specialist machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment to minimise downtime.
• Work with in-house maintenance team to keep plant running smoothly.
• Assist with bearing fitting/alignment tasks as required.
