Wienerberger AG is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for our Broomfleet site near Gilberdyke. You will be part of our in-house team maintaining specialist machinery, performing troubleshooting and planned preventive maintenance to keep production running smoothly.
The role covers a range of maintenance skills including fitting, fabrication, welding, and service engineering. A Level 3 engineering qualification is required with a focus on safety and adaptability to daily priorities.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (known internally as a Maintenance Fitter) at our Broomfleet site, you will be part of our hands on inhouse team who keep the plant running by ensuring the equipment runs smoothly.
From troubleshooting to planned preventive maintenance (PPM), you will be hands-on with specialist machinery, ensuring everything runs like clockwork. It's a dynamic role where problem-solving skills and technical expertise are used daily, and you will be a key player contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our production processes.
Our engineers have a varied role, so you’ll get the chance to use a variety of maintenance skills associated with being a fitter, fabricator, welder, and service engineer.

This position is based at ourBroomfleetsite, which is nearGilberdykeand is easily commutable from Goole, Market Weighton,Hessle,and Brough.
Due to the site location, it is accessible by personal vehicle only and has no access by public transport. Free on-site parking is available.
4 on, 4 off shift pattern. 2 shifts on days (7am to 7pm), 2 shifts on nights (7pm to 7am), then four offs
You will be a mechanically biased engineer with experience working in manufacturing / factory environments, with a minimum level 3 qualification in an Engineering discipline.
Safety is our biggest priority, so you’ll be committed to safe working and have strong experience of health and safety best practice.
You’ll enjoy working in a busy environment where you can roll your sleeves up and get hands-on and being flexible and able to adapt to the different daily priorities will enable the factory to continue to run efficiently.
As this role is sometimes physically demanding, you’ll be fit enough to perform your various duties.
