Overview

Role: Mechanical Maintenance Fitter / Mechanical Fitter

Salary: £44,000 - £46,000 per annum + overtime paid at x1.5 & x2.0 + benefits and opportunities to progress up through salary grades and receive enhancement

Hours: 4 on 4 off, 6am to 6pm (shift 1 and 2) / 7am to 7pm (shift 3) / 6pm to 6am (shift 4)

Location: Commutable from Worcester, Bridgnorth, Kidderminster, Ludlow, Redditch and surrounding areas

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to work within a manufacturing company at one of their leading automated factories. You will benefit from a friendly and loyal team of Engineers working in this fast faced environment. Responsibilities
  • Mechanical Maintenance Fitter, working a continental shift pattern of 4 days 6am till 6pm then 4 off, followed by 4 days 6am till 6pm then 4 off, followed by 4 days 7am to 7pm then 4 off, followed by 4 nights 6pm to 6am followed by 4 off. Therefore only working 4 nights in 1 month.
  • Your role will include, although not limited to:
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery
  • Dealing with machinery breakdowns and problems, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
  • Assisting with planned shut-downs and project work, refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts
Requirements
  • Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualification
  • Experience in a similar environment; Industrial, Production or Manufacturing environments - most considered
  • Maintenance experience; dealing with machinery and equipment problems and breakdowns and/or completing preventative maintenance of plant/industrial machinery
  • Any experience of SOME of the following; Belts, Chains, Gear Boxes, Pumps, Bearings, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding and Fabricating etc
  • Motivated and driven to succeed
  • Willing to take on and complete further training as part of your growth and development in the factory and company
