Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Limited seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a large static site in Blackburn. You will carry out planned and reactive mechanical tasks across heating, plumbing and water systems on a commercial property, ensuring compliant PPMs and accurate real-time documentation.

The role offers a Monday-Friday pattern, 08:00-16:30, on-call rota, and a salary of £36,000‑£38,000 with opportunities for overtime and progression within FM.

Qualifications

• A recognised industry qualification is required and previous experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical works in a commercial setting, including boilers, heating systems, domestic water systems and related plumbing tasks.
• Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time.
• Complete all relevant paperwork for PPM, reactive and breakdown works and forward to contract administrator promptly.
• Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for safe working practices at all times.
• Take part in the on-call rota.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - £36,000 - £38,000 - Blackburn (Static)

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer for a static site in Blackburn, carrying out planned and reactive commercial building maintenance. This role will be working on a large commercial site. The successful candidate should have experience of a Mechanical Engineer positions in FM and have a strong understanding of servicing, repairing, and installing heating systems and plumbing works on commercial buildings.

This position would be ideal for a Mechanical Engineer currently in a similar position who is keen on progression. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary in the region of up to £36,000 - £38,000 with opportunity to earn more with on call and overtime.

• Carry out Mechanical works in a commercial setting, including general plumbing, boilers, heating systems, domestic hot and cold-water systems etc.
• Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the PDA with appropriate comments to evidence completion of work
• Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator
• Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times
• Take part in the on call rota
