Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd in Blackburn is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a static site. You will carry out mechanical works, servicing, repairing and installing heating systems and plumbing in a large commercial building, with a focus on PPM and reactive maintenance.

The role offers a salary of £36,000–£38,000, with on-call duties and overtime opportunities. A Level 3 Mechanical qualification and FM experience are essential, with scope for progression within a busy facilities

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Engineer in FM environment.
• Level 3 Mechanical qualification or equivalent.
• Experience servicing, repairing and installing heating and plumbing systems in commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical works in a commercial setting, including heating, boilers and plumbing.
• Ensure PPM is carried out and documented in real time using the PDA.
• Complete paperwork for PPM, reactive and breakdown works and pass to contract administrator.
• Prepare and use Method Statements and Risk Assessments for safe working practices.
• Take part in the on call rota.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - £36,000 - £38,000 - Blackburn (Static)

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer for a static site in Blackburn, carrying out planned and reactive commercial building maintenance. This role will be working on a large commercial site. The successful candidate should have experience of a Mechanical Engineer positions in FM and have a strong understanding of servicing, repairing, and installing heating systems and plumbing works on commercial buildings.

This position would be ideal for a Mechanical Engineer currently in a similar position who is keen on progression. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary in the region of up to £36,000 - £38,000 with opportunity to earn more with on call and overtime.

Key duties & Responsibilities

• Carry out Mechanical works in a commercial setting, including general plumbing, boilers, heating systems, domestic hot and cold-water systems etc.
• Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the PDA with appropriate comments to evidence completion of work
• Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator
• Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times
• Take part in the on call rota
