Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Wakefield

Location: Wakefield

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Hours: Monday to Friday (Day Shifts)

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out PPM & reactive maintenance
• Diagnose & repair mechanical faults
• Work on conveyors, shredders, pumps & more
• Keep accurate repair and service records
• Support ongoing improvement projects

What we’re looking for:

• Proven mechanical maintenance experience (preferably in manufacturing, recycling, or industrial settings)
• Strong skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, and bearings
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent mechanical qualifications
• A team player with excellent problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, industrial environment
