Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Thatcham, Berkshire

Salary: 50,000 per annum

Shift: Panama Days & Nights

Industry: FMCG / Manufacturing / Heavy Industry

A brand-new, fully automated FMCG manufacturing facility is looking for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team. Backed by a major name in the industry, the site is one of Europe's fastest and most efficient production plants. This position has become available due to a team member moving on-providing a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong mechanical experience in high-speed manufacturing.

Job Role

Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a high-output production line

Working as part of a 20-person engineering team

Maintaining and repairing systems such as conveyors, mixers, ovens, and kilns

Minimising downtime and contributing to site performance improvements

Operating on a Panama shift pattern (2-2-3, rotating days and nights)

What We're Looking For

Essential: Recognized mechanical engineering qualification

Essential: FMCG or heavy industrial background

Strong fault-finding and preventative maintenance skills

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dusty environment
