Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited in Sheffield is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a small, skilled team supporting a rolling mill and downstream equipment. You'll carry out mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance, fault-finding on hydraulic systems, and workshop rebuilds of gearboxes, shears, spindles, and pumps.

The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off (days 06:00-18:00, nights 18:00-06:00) with 31 days holiday, a pension, and ongoing training & development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 equivalent.
• Industrial mechanical maintenance experience is required.
• Able to read engineering drawings and work safely at heights.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul and maintain mechanical equipment
• Respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime
• Plan and carry out preventative maintenance
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
• Assist in production changeovers and report shift activities
