MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

KIRKCALDY

Shift: 3

Salary: £43,000 + BONUS

We are seeking a motivated mechanical maintenance engineer to join a market-leading manufacturing company. You will be a key member in ensuring the smooth operation of the production facility, involved in both planned and reactive maintenance activities. The company offers progressive training and development, supporting employees' skill enhancement within a welcoming engineering team. This role is ideal for a strong engineer seeking a challenging opportunity within a secure and stable organization.

Role Responsibilities
  • Maintain a strong Health & Safety ethic at all times.
  • Provide front-line maintenance support to all production departments using sound engineering practices.
  • Perform PPM activities across the site as required.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on site services such as compressed air systems, HPHW systems, package boilers, cooling towers, and refrigeration plants.
  • Fault find and rectify mechanical and basic electrical faults, including conveying systems, couplings, bearings, motors, and gearboxes.
  • Experience with HPHW/Steam boilers and involvement in process improvement projects to reduce downtime and improve efficiency is advantageous.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Time-served (apprenticeship) mechanical/maintenance engineer
  • 3-5 years of practical experience
  • Experience in a process-oriented environment
  • Heavy industry experience
  • COMPEX certification (advantageous)
