Job summary

CV Technical is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for our Grimsby site. You will support ongoing reliability and performance of site machinery and production equipment, with a Monday to Friday days-based role.

The role offers a starting salary of £44,340, monthly incentives, and enhanced overtime rates, plus a strong pension. You will work with an established engineering team on preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical and/or mechanical faults.
• Responding to equipment breakdowns and supporting preventative maintenance.
• Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability.
• Ensuring safe and efficient maintenance activities.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and supporting CI initiatives.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the ongoing reliability and performance of site machinery and production equipment.

Working as part of the engineering team, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site
• Diagnosing and rectifying electrical and/or mechanical faults
• Responding effectively to equipment breakdowns
• Supporting preventative maintenance programmes
• Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability
• Ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently
• Working closely with production and other departments to minimise downtime
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site

About You

• Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing environment
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• A recognised engineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent
• Good electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience
• The ability to work independently as well as part of an engineering team
• A proactive approach to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement
• Strong health & safety awareness
