The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a maintenance engineer to join a large, well-invested site that forms part of a nationally recognised group. This is a high-performing facility with state-of-the-art machinery and an experienced engineering team. Your focus will be 70% reactive and 30% PPM, using a tablet system for job tracking. While multi-skilled competency is key, this role places a strong emphasis on mechanical maintenance and repair. You'll need to be confident working with hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, and chains. Fabrication and welding experience is a plus.

The Person We're Looking For
  • A strong background in mechanical maintenance within industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Experience working on gearboxes, motors, belts, pulleys, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Confidence with strip-downs, rebuilds, and reactive mechanical fault diagnosis
  • An NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in engineering (ex-Forces welcome)
  • A proactive attitude and flexibility for overtime and development
  • This is an ideal role for a maintenance engineer who wants to develop their career in a stable, well-backed facility with real progression and training opportunities.
