Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to travel across Devon and Cornwall, installing, maintaining and repairing machinery in manufacturing and food production environments.

The role involves on-site work at customer facilities, fault diagnosis, and planned/reactive maintenance, with a company van provided and full training for food safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Fitter / Field Service Engineer or similar.
• Experience with machinery in manufacturing or food manufacturing environments.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Willingness to travel across Devon and Cornwall and work on customer sites.

We are looking for an experiencedMechanical Engineer / Mechanical Fitterto join our team as a Field Service Engineer, coveringDevon and Cornwall.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working on the road and has experience installing, maintaining and repairing machinery withinmanufacturing and food manufacturing environments.

The Role

You will travel to customer sites across Devon and Cornwall, includingfood factories and manufacturing facilities, carrying out a range of mechanical engineering duties, including:

• Installing and commissioning machinery and equipment
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs
• Planned and reactive maintenance
• Servicing and maintaining manufacturing machinery
• Working within food manufacturing environments
• Working directly with customers on site
• Ensuring machinery is operating safely and efficiently
• Food Safety Requirement

As the role involves working insidefood manufacturing facilities, candidates will need to hold aLevel 2 Food Safety / Food Hygiene Certificate.

Don't have one? No problem - full training will be provided. The course is approximately3 hoursand will be provided to ensure you are fully qualified to work safely within food production environments.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as aMechanical Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, Field Service Engineer or similar
• Experience working with machinery in amanufacturing, production or food manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
• Experience with machinery installation and maintenance
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Own tools required
• Full UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel throughoutDevon and Cornwall
• Level 2 Food Safety/Food Hygiene Certificateor willingness to complete the training provided
