Mechanical Lead Engineer - £50,000 - Hammersmith

Location: Hammersmith

Salary: £50,000 per annum

Hours: Monday to Friday (Days)

We are partnering with a well-established client who is seeking an experienced Mechanical Lead Engineer to take a senior role in overseeing mechanical operations across a large site in Hammersmith. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a team, manage PPMs, reactive maintenance, and ensure the smooth operation of all mechanical systems.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team, providing guidance and support
  • Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across all mechanical systems
  • Maintain and optimize HVAC plant, boilers, pumps, VAV/VRV systems, and water treatment equipment
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, health & safety standards, and best practices
  • Manage BMS (Building Management System) and Head End Controls for mechanical systems
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements across the site
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience in a similar senior or lead role within building services or mechanical maintenance
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, fault-finding, and preventative maintenance
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
