Qualifications

Job description

Job Title: Quality Inspector

Location: Derby (On-site)

Duration: Approximately 3 months

Overview: We are urgently seeking a Quality Inspector to support a customer program in Derby. The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace inspection, including working with engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform visual and dimensional inspections using hand measurement tools.
  2. Review manufacturing documentation such as CofCs and routers for completeness.
  3. Prepare non-conformance reports and document inspection results.
  4. Update customer systems with inspection data.

Experience and Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 2 years of aerospace inspection experience within the last 5 years.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in an engineering environment.
  3. Knowledge of interpreting engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  4. Experience with welded and riveted fabricated parts.
  5. Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 standards is highly advantageous.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Requirements:

  • EU Nationals or Passport holders only, to access technical data.
  • Working hours: Monday 3pm – 1am; Tuesday – Thursday 3pm - 00:30am. Pay rate between 6pm and 00:30/01:00 is £30/hour.
  • This position is inside IR35; an umbrella company is required.
