We’re offering an exciting opportunity to support the Mersey Engineering Cluster by ensuring the reliability and efficiency of key mechanical assets across the port. We are looking for a Mechanical Infrastructure Supervisor to join our team at the Port of Liverpool and play a crucial role in keeping global trade moving!
As aMechanical Infrastructure Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the operation, maintenance, and ongoing development of key mechanical systems across the Port of Liverpool—one of Europe’s most significant port facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of mechanical assets across the Peel Ports estate, including bridges, dock gates, pumping stations, impounding systems, and other essential infrastructure. Operating within the Mersey Engineering Cluster, you’ll support planned maintenance, rapid fault response, and continuous improvement projects to help minimize downtime and ensure smooth port operations.
Your core responsibilities will include leading a team of skilled technicians, coordinating reactive and planned maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and maintaining asset availability to support uninterrupted port operations. Working as part of theMersey Engineering Cluster, you will collaborate with electrical, civil, and operational teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions, drive root cause analysis of mechanical failures, and implement long-term improvements.
