Overview

We are currently looking for Mechanical Fitters to join one of our clients on a temp to perm basis. Working on a variety of heavy engineering/construction sites around the UK. The client is a market-leading manufacturer, supplier and installer of specialist rotating equipment to a range of industry sectors including heavy engineering, power and petro-chemical.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out a range of mechanical fitting duties including helping to remove a wide range of equipment.
• Planned and preventative maintenance of equipment and breakdown repairs.
• Site work across the UK, including working away on site where required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experienced Mechanical Fitters with a proven track record of working in a heavy engineering/construction environment.
• Able to read and understand engineering drawings (preferable).
• Previous experience of mechanical fitting and working away on site is advantageous; experience in heavy engineering and construction environments is relevant.
• A relevant recognised qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Previous experience of carrying out slinging and lifting is useful but not essential.
• A current CCNSG Site Safety Passport is useful but not essential.
• NEACI “Blue Book” rates will apply to this mechanical fitting role, which will include overtime, travel expenses, lodge and travel time.
