Job summary

Travail Employment Group are assisting with a Mechanical Fitter vacancy in Bradford. The role involves building and repairing mechanical systems to drawings, plus diagnosing faults and performing tests on equipment.

Hours are 7.30–16:00 Mon-Thu with a 15:00 finish on Fridays. Regular OT is available, and pay includes yearly pay rises with healthcare, pension sacrifice and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical fitting experience in a workshop environment.
• Hold Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical engineering.
• The ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment.
• Proven mechanical background in commercial or Industrial installations.
• The ability to interpret technical drawings, layout and General Assembly.
• Work to a high quality level and be able to undertake equipment testing.
• Experience with pipework or polypropylene fusion is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing mechanical systems to drawings.
• Undertaking repair, maintenance, test and installation of systems as required.
• Working to set production targets and SOPs.
• Diagnosing and repairing faults and technical problems.
• Working in line with H&S and ensuring equipment is calibrated and safe.
• Undertake plastic pipe fitting working to P&ID drawings.
