Mechanical Fitter (Marine Engine Training)
32,600 - 36,500 + Premium OT + Industry Training + Days
Workshop based. Commutable from Plymouth, Liskeard, Looe, Callington and surrounding areas.

Are you an Engineer / Technician / Fitter with Marine, Plant, Automotive, REME or similar experience, looking to join a leading business that will offer full training into the industry as you become an expert in your field, in a days based role with plentiful premium overtime opportunities to maximise your income?

The specialist company are the leaders within servicing and repair of boats. With sites across the UK, you will be joining one of their flagship sites. Due to their continued success and workload, they are looking to increase the headcount of their engineering department.

Within this varied position, you will be tasked with the install, service and repair of marine engine and propulsion systems with some fault finding and commissioning work to make up the rest of the day. With the excellent training on offer, any candidates with diesel engine experience are encouraged to apply.

The Role:

  • Service and repair of marine engines
  • Install, test and commissioning of hydraulic and mechanical systems
  • Workshop based with some site work
  • 39 hour week, 7:30am - 16:15pm Monday to Friday (early finish Friday)

The Person:

  • Any hands-on mechanical or electrical engineering experience
  • Looking to progress or move into marine industry
  • Can gain security clearance
  • Lives commutable to Plymouth
