Job summary

ICL Group is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to perform maintenance, repairs, installation and inspection of mechanical equipment to ensure safe operation and high plant efficiency. The role involves coordinating with engineers and supervisors to minimize downtime and drive reliability improvements.

The ideal candidate will have proven fitter experience in industrial settings, IOSH safety certification, and strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues

Qualifications

• Experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• IOSH Working Safely certification.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong fault diagnosis and corrective action skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment.
• Install, assemble, align, and test mechanical components and systems.
• Diagnose faults and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct inspections and routine checks for safe operation.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain maintenance logs and service reports.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers and maintenance staff to resolve issues.
