Job description

Pertemps Industrial is recruiting for a Mechanical Site Engineer / Mechanical Fitter / Pipe Fitter to work alongside an electrical engineer (sharing a van) based around Bristol, undertaking nationwide installation and servicing of pumping equipment.

Involves nights away, yet occasional / limited – must be flexible, and all expenses covered. Ideal candidate will be mechanically proficient, hold a valid CSCS card, CSTS (confined space) trained, and SSSTS trained. Typically working 45-50 hours per week. From £12.90/hr depending on experience / skills; once fully trained, can expect to earn £45K+ (including overtime premiums).

Joining an exciting and fast-paced external team, the ideal candidate will be motivated, working alongside an electrical site engineer, installing, commissioning, and servicing pumping and related equipment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Attend nationwide installation and breakdowns when necessary, ensuring call-out policy adherence
• Comfortable with nights away, flexible
• Service, repair, and assembly of pumps and pumping equipment
• Be available on a rota basis for standby cover over weekends and bank holidays when required
• Maintain and improve company procedures where possible
• Complete site reports after each visit, obtain customer signatures, and submit promptly
• Represent the company positively, promoting all products and services
• Ensure company vehicle, van-stock, and tools are always stocked and ready
• Identify training needs

ANY OTHER DUTIES NECESSARY

• Be flexible to the business requirements
• Observe and maintain Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Undertake any additional duties as required
