Tec Partners Recruitment Ltd is supporting an established engineering business in Beccles, Suffolk, to recruit a hands-on Mechanical Fitter / Machine Builder. The role centers on assembling and building bespoke automation equipment, working from engineering drawings and specifications, not a repetitive production task.

You will fit and align components, use hand and power tools, check assemblies for accuracy, and contribute to projects across various industries.

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Machine Builder, Mechanical Assembler or Assembly Technician.
• Confident reading and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings.
• Hands-on experience assembling mechanical components and machinery.
• Good understanding of mechanical fitting, alignment and precision measurements.
• Comfortable using a variety of hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and a practical, problem-solving approach.
• Experience within special-purpose machinery, automation equipment, precision engineering or manufacturing would be beneficial.

Aufgaben

• Building and assembling bespoke machinery and mechanical systems.
• Working from engineering drawings, technical specifications and assembly instructions.
• Carrying out precision mechanical fitting, alignment and adjustments.
• Using hand tools, power tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Assembling individual components into larger mechanical units.
• Checking completed assemblies for accuracy, fit and quality.
• Identifying and resolving mechanical assembly issues.
