Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is looking for a Mechanical Fitter Assembler in Aylesbury. The ideal candidate will carry out mechanical fitting and assembly work, interpret engineering drawings, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. You will work Monday to Friday, 06:00am - 14:00pm. Experience in production is required. This role offers competitive salary dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Mechanical qualification is preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical fitting and assembly work.
• Work from engineering drawings to complete assemblies.
• Assemble heat exchanger units from pre-manufactured parts.
• Participate in quality control process.
• Operate fixed and handheld machinery.

Skills

Our client is well-established and leaders in their field, they are recruiting for a Fitter/ Assembler to join their growing team!

Fitter/ Assembler Roles and Responsibilities:

• To carry out mechanical fitting and assembly work
• Work from engineering drawings to complete assemblies
• Assembling heat exchanger units from pre-manufactured parts
• Participating in quality control process to maintain the highest standard
• Operate fixed and hand held machinery
• Comply with company health and safety
• Contributing to continuous improvement projects, offering valuable insights and ideas
• Keep the work area clean and clear
• Work to a high standard of manufacturing
• Carry out production duties as directed by Production Supervision

The ideal Fitter/ Assembler will:

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing
• Ideally 2 years experience with in production in a manufacturing industry
• Mechanical qualification
• Comply with all Health & Safety requirements and procedures

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 06:00am - 14:00pm
