Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is partnering with a Glasgow-based manufacturer to recruit a Mechanical Fitter for a days-based, permanent role. You will read drawings, assemble, test and finish components for water industry equipment in a close-knit workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read engineering drawings.
• Experience as Mechanical Fitter is preferred.
• Willing to work 35 hours per week with an early finish on Friday.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, assembling, and testing mechanical parts and equipment.
• Reading engineering drawings and using hand tools.
• Using guillotine press brake, and welding.
• Going to sites to help with installations.
• Monday to Thursday 8am - 4pm, finish at 1pm on Friday, 35 hours a week.
