Job description

We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team of Mechanical Supervisors and Assistants. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on exciting projects for our largest customers, covering a wide range of areas such as environmental and energy management, plant and infrastructure maintenance, and emergency response.

What’s the role:

  • Installing and maintaining a wide range of mechanical apparatus and associated ancillary equipment.
  • Undertaking risk assessment and associated paperwork, where required, of the relevant activities to ensure a suitable and effective safe system of work.
  • Assisting management in the programming of scheduled maintenance aligned to company requirements.
  • Installing and maintaining of water related plants, pipework and associated control equipment.
  • liaising with management and general operatives to ascertain any repair and maintenance requirement that arise or need specific prioritisation.

What you’ll need:

  • Level 3 qualification/equivalent or above in Mechanical Maintenance.
  • Have the ability to read and translate schematic and technical drawings.
  • Experience of working in the utility sector would be an advantage.
  • Ability to problem solve and diagnose faults on machinery and equipment.
  • A full driving licence and there will be an element of working away with the role as and when required.
