Mechanical Fitter

Location: Taunton

Working Hours: 8:00 - 16:30 (Monday to Thursday), 8:00 - 13:30 (Friday)

Salary: £35,665

Additional Hours: If required

We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Fitter to join a leading manufacturer based in the south. Reporting directly to the design manager, you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility operates smoothly. This position is ideal for a strong engineer seeking their next challenging role within a secure and stable company.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Operating slitting, hot melt coating, and core cutting machinery
2. Applying hydraulic & pneumatic knowledge - required
3. Building bespoke machinery from engineering drawings
4. Knowledge of chains, belts, bearings, pumps, valves, and cylinders
5. Must be based within 40 mins of the site
