Westray Recruitment Group is seeking to recruit to a Multiskilled Mechanical Fitter to work day shifts for our client in the Tyne & Wear area.

THE BUSINESS

Westray Recruitment Group are seeking a Multiskilled Mechanical Fitter to join our client in Sunderland who is a global company specialising in piping systems for various industries. They operate globally with multiple branches; providing a full range of products and services to various industries. They have a focus on reliability and environmental friendliness. The organisation has a solid order book and can provide role stability as they have a long serving history with their clients.

As a result of increase in work and a busy order book they are seeking a multiskilled mechanical fitter to join their team.

THE ROLE

• You will overhaul and repair Graco/Mastic/Sealant Pumps
• You will assemble and install mechanical components
• You will clean, and rebuild pumps and assess any other repairs required
• You will manufacture hoses, although training will be provided
• You will use a variety of hand and power tools to strip and reassemble various pump and hoses
• Fabrication and Welding skills would be advantageous
• You will check the complete assembly for alignment, dimensions and quality
• You will assist with production and build of fabricated assemblies of varying size and complexity
• You will observe company H&S policy and comply the company’s safety rules

THE PERSON

• You will be time-served and have an engineering background/qualifications
• You will have you own hand tools; and power tools are available on site
• You need to be available to work overtime and weekends – this is a must for the role
• You need a full UK driving licence for this role
• You will have good communication skills
• You must have a good understanding of engineering drawings and standards
• You will be comfortable working outside in all elements of weather
