Job summary

Oliver Rae is seeking a Mechanical Fitter for a permanent role in Stourbridge. The position offers a four‑day week (Mon–Thu), late starts, and overtime on Fridays to Sundays with rates up to £33.65 per hour. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and a stable engineering environment are included.

You will diagnose faults, maintain heavy machinery and support fabrication, welding, and machining repairs, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Solid background in mechanical fitting and heavy engineering.
• Experience with industrial machinery or production equipment.
• Welding, fabrication, machining and fault finding experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and carry out planned and reactive maintenance.
• Work on mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics and transmissions.
• Get involved in fabrication, welding and machining repairs.
• Keep on top of inspections, servicing and safety checks.
• Play a part in improving performance across the site.

Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

Shifts: Days / Afternoons or Nights available

Overtime available: Friday - Sunday

The Role

What You’ll Bring
