Now Hiring: Mechanical Build Engineer – Robotics & Automation

Location: Catcliffe, Rotherham (S60)

Are you a hands-on mechanical engineer with a passion for precision and innovation?

We’re partnering with a world-class industrial automation company known for delivering cutting-edge robotic solutions to the aerospace, defence, and manufacturing sectors. With exciting new projects on the horizon, they’re looking for a Mechanical Build Engineer to join their growing team in Rotherham.

You’ll play a key role in building, assembling, and installing complex electromechanical systems that solve real-world industrial challenges.

• Build and test bespoke automation systems to a high engineering standard
• Interpret and review mechanical technical drawings
• Collaborate across departments and provide technical feedback
• Identify and resolve mechanical/electrical faults on-site
• Travel to client sites for installation and commissioning
• Fit bearings, use DTIs, and work with tight tolerances

What You’ll Bring:

• HNC, mechanical apprenticeship, or relevant hands-on experience
• Strong ability to read and work from technical mechanical drawings
• Experience with industrial mechanical builds, alignment, and precision tooling
• Full UK driving licence + willingness to travel
• Proactive mindset with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
