Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for a new position with a growing company? Are you able to obtain Security Clearance? If so, this position is for you!

This Mechanical Fitter role is based in Portsmouth and focuses on asset and facilities management across the defence and maritime sectors.

The role offers a Monday to Friday working week. The position pays up to £37,000 depending on experience. A British Passport is required, and you must be able to obtain security clearance.

Your responsibilities will include the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across various mechanical systems, including heating systems, pumps, saws, hoists, winches, and steam systems.

Key duties include installation, fault finding, repair, testing, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. It is important to use tools and equipment safely and ensure they are up to date with inspections.

You will need:

1. Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter
2. Ideally, completed an apprenticeship or NVQ in a relevant field
3. Competence in using a variety of hand tools safely and efficiently
4. Experience in mechanical fault finding and rectification
5. A British Passport and the ability to obtain Security Clearance
