Finlay Jude Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Mechanical Fitter for a site-based role in the Midlands region. You will install package plants and pipework, working to drawings and supporting site integration with the existing mechanical team.

Applicants should have water/wastewater industry experience, a valid driving licence, and strong problem-solving skills. A competitive salary plus overtime and company benefits are on offer.

Job description

FJA are looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter's within an Operations team being site-based in the UU Region

As a Mechanical Fitter you will report directly to the Mechanical Site Manager and yo will be required to undertake the installation of package plants, pipe fitting and to assist with site integration. You will be joining an existing Mechanical team and will be required to travel across the Midlands region as required.

Mechanical Fitter Responsibilities

• Working to engineering drawings to a high level of accuracy to ensure components are installed and set out accurately
• Working on screening machinery and equipment such as de-watering units and compactors, grit rakes and machined parts, scraper bridge assemblies, penstocks, valves, pipework & pumps
• Working with a variety of materials (ductile, plastics, carbon steel)
• Working to company SHEQ standards at all times

The Successful Mechanical Fitter Must Have

• Water / Wastewater industry experience
• Driving Licence
• Strong Problem solving skill

Desirable

NVQ2 / ONC or equivalent PASMA, EUSR Water Hygiene, Confined Space, Abrasive Wheels, Manual Handling, MEWP - Training can also be provided for these.
